Description
Complete darkness is easily achieved by ensuring that there are no gaps around the window where light can enter. Easyblackout fabric attaches directly to VELCRO® brand hook fastener (included) on the window frame. You can also use it with our suction cups (not included in this kit) to use your easyblackout when away from home.
Between uses, instead of removing your blackout blind, you can use our magnetic tiebacks (pictured, but not included) to hold your blind open – these are available to purchase separately on our Accessories page, and you can see them here.
Each kit includes: easyblackout blackout material, self-adhesive VELCRO® brand hook fastener tape and instructions. There is enough VELCRO® brand hook fastener tape included to make one blind of the maximum size. If you wish to use your kit to make two or more smaller blinds, then additional VELCRO® brand hook fastener tape may be required. All that is required in addition is a measuring tape and scissors.
Easy to use easyblackout blackout blind kit
- Cut the easyblackout blackout material to the shape and size required (or cut to make more than one blind). Where possible we suggest allowing an overlap of approx. 2cm on each side. This 2cm excess should ‘fold around’ and sit against the window recess or surround.
- Apply the self-adhesive VELCRO® brand hook fastener tape (supplied) around the window frame. Please note that this is suitable for upvc frames and is not recommended for wooden frames where the adhesive may pull paint away when the VELCRO® brand hook fastener tape is removed. For wooden frames we suggest using 3M Command(TM) Strips instead.
- Press the easyblackout material against the VELCRO® brand hook fastener tape and hey presto, blackout!
Available in a range of colours and sizes, simply cut to fit. This material will not fray and does not require a hem.
